Yoshukai karate is traditional Japanese karate with a lineage that traces back to the founders of Karate in Okinawa hundreds of years ago.  Our Senior Pastor is also our Karate Sensei.  Sensei Joel Dover holds black belts in three styles of the martial arts and has been a karateka himself for 15 years.  As a ministry of Heatherwood, we are able to teach legitimate karate with no monthly fees or contracts.  Further, our karate is taught in a high moral and Christ centered environment.  The benefits of physical discipline, confidence, strength, wisdom, and character draw many to karate.  We hope that as we practice these disciplines in our unique environment, that we will also draw many to Jesus.
